Boy and Dog

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday it's "Anything Goes" without any twist this week.  I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for February.

I colored the image using Promakers and made a cityscape scene with my Memory Box busildings die.  The red embossed background I've made with a die from Poppy. I mostly use my dies for cutting, I tend to forget that they work for embossing too... The background DP is Graphic45, the sentimeny is heat embossed on DP and I embellished it with a star metal charm. It was found in my stash of unused elements intended for a previous project.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Come and Get It - Layer It On
2) Send a Smile for Kids - punches/ die cuts
3) Craft Your Passion - Always Anything Goes

2015 Christmas Card #7

The showcase card over at CASE-ing Christmas was what gave me the idea of this design.

"God jul" means "Merry Christmas" in Norwegian - I die cut the letters using Dienamics dies. I cut them out using a wooden printed DP and thick cardboard. I stamped the stockings, using stamps from Panduro, onto scraps of DPs and punched the greeneries using a Martha Stewart punch. The background DP is from Kaisercraft. I used kraft for the panels. 3 green sequins were added and I was done!

This card is for these challenges:
1) CASE-ing Christmas - CASE #8
2) Rudolph Days - February
3) ABC Christmas Challenge - D is for Die Cuts
4) Crafting for all Seasons - #96 Die and/or Punches

Sunshine colors

Today is the start of a new "Stella Says Sketch" over at Catch the Bug. This is my interpretation of the sketch, using bold colors and a flower image from Bugaoo - you can find it here.

Today we have a little bit of sunshine, but for the most part it's been greatly missed for several months now, so I made this card  adding bright sunshine colors that cheer me up.
I die cut the image using a circle die, I colored the blue background while the image was still inside of the die, leaving a narrow white strip along the edges. I placed it onto a die cut scalloped edged circle. I handcut a banner for the sentiment and chose two use two yellow enamel dots as only embellishment.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges as well:
1) Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #214 Circles
2) Addicted to Stamps and More -  #132 Make Your Mark (Image colored with Promarkers)
3) Creative Card Crew - #81 Birthday with Sentiment
4) Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes with a Twist of Sunshine (sunshine colors)

Picnic time!

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday this week's optional twist is to make an "Easel card".  I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for February.

I colored the image using Promarkers. I don't use green very often, but with the longing for spring and to create an outdoor's scene I think it was required.

I created a scene by adding die cut leaves and rolled flowers using Memory Box dies and a fence created with a Marianne die. The flowers are decorated with a rhinestone and some glitter glue. I also added glitter glue to the butterfly's wings.

The sentiment ie heat embossed with blacp EP and I decoarted it with one wooden butterfly button.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Ooh La La Creations - Add Something Green
2) Inky Impressions - #197 Cute and Cuddly
3) Die Cuttin' Divas - #203 Odd Card

2015 Christmas Card #6

Every Tuesday there are new releases in the Bugaboo store, and this one of today's new images.

I love this little mouse, so versatile. With Valentine's Day behind us I thought I'd make a Christmas card and try coloring on kraft with with my Inktense pencils.

I embossed my image with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and I gave the snowflakes a little treatment with white gelato.

The hearts are shiny of glossy accent. I used different scraps from my stash, I thought the sketch over at Sketch Saturday was great for just this purpose.

I stitched with white thread around the edges and used a die cut snowflake (Memory Box) which was and sentiment, both in my stash of ready to use items.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:
1) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #348
2) Simon Says Stamp - All Creatures Great and Small
3) Christmas Cards All Year Round - Red and White

2015 Christmas Card #5

I must make at least an average of 3-4 Christmas cards per month to avoid the last minute stress in December. Seeing Donna's card over at CASE-ing Christmas I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make my 5th card so far this year. There are so many possibilities with Donna's card, and I took inspiration from the layout and the sentiment, only I made the background of sentiments instead.

I've used some odd bits and bobs, non used items intended for other previously made projects.
I made a forest scene for my metal charm reindeer, using a stamp from Lawn Fawn, stamped onto a DP with wooden pattern.
The hollies are cut out from a wreath image made by Anne Fenton. I die cut a frame using a die from Marianne and some white twine. The sentiment is stamped and I handcut into a banner.

This card is for these challenges:
1) CASE-ing Christmas -  CASE #7
2) Allsorts - Any occasion other than birthday
3) Fab 'n' Funky - #246 Charm Us
4) Crafting When We Can - #88 Stitching Real or Faux

Tequila JJ

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and the theme is "Girls wanna have fun". This is my DT card featuring JJ Tequila and Shoes - Tequila colored with Promarkers.

I made an easel card with various papers from my stash. I wanted to make it look like she sat down on the floor, so I used woodenflor paper and one that I thought would work as a wallpaper.
I had a little mishap on the upper left corner that I had to cover up so I added a pieve from a swirl of pearls and flowers from Panduro. I heat embossed a birthday greeting with silver EP on black and added flowers there as well.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges as well:
1) Creative Knockouts - #76 Floral Delight
2) Penny's Paper-Crafty - #214 Embossing
3) Through the Purple Haze - Flowers

Girl playing dress up

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday this week's optional twist is to "use a doily".  I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for February.

I colored the image using Promarkers and a white gel pen. I used several scrap pieces of DP, some of them came free with magazines, and I mounted them onto panels of silver paper.
The design idea was to a make scene with the girl standing in front of the big mirror, checking out how she looks after rummaging through her mother's closet. Silver mirri card actually works very well as mirror, so well in fact I had to put a paper between me and my camera to avoid having my reflection caught in the mirror!
The dresses are cut out with a die from Memory Bow, and the dresser with a Spellbinders die. The sentiment is heat embossed with silver EP.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Cutie Pie Challenge - Doilies + Cute
2) Digi Sketch Challenge - Any Sketch + For the Girls (T)
3) Incy Wincy Designs - Punch or Die Cut

Box with drawers

I tend to make cards, but sometimes I want to try something new, like making this little box with drawers. I covered the box with rose patterned paper from Maja Design. I printed the silhouette image from Bugaboo onto a DP wtih spots, I cut out a frame using a scalloped circle die and decorated with flowers and brads from my stash. The top and bottom panels are cut out using a Spellbinders die.
If you'd like more ideas for making anything other than a card you should hop over to Catch the Bug - every Monday there's a new post with ideas.

This is also for these challenges:
1) Card and Scrap - Use Flowers
2) Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper - Anything Goes

Little Bunny for a Little Boy

Today is the start of a new ANYTHING GOES challenge over at Catch the Bug. This is my card featuring Bobblehead Farm Rabbit, you can find it here.

I kept the design clean, using white paper with striped structure, blue paper and a square piece of DP with letters.
I printed the rabbit onto a DP with spots, and I used a white gel pen to colors in the details of his ears and paws.
The sentiment, from Lawn Fawn, is heat embossed with white EP on kraft.
I also added 3 blue pearls.

3 Hearts

My Guest Designer term over at Bugaboo is now over, but you'll see more Bugaboo projects from me as I'm now a fulltime DT member. Yippi!

This is my card for "Oldie but Goodie" Thursday over at Catch the Bug, I've used an image called "3 hearts" that you can find in the Bugaboo store. And I used them to make a birthday card - I think hearts work for other occasions than Valentine too.

The image is colored with Promarkers and a gold gel pen. I attached it to a piece of corrugated paper and I sprinkled the whole panel with frantage.
The birthday sentiment is heat embossed with gold EP. With all the black and clean lines I think this card has a masculine feel to it.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #211 No patterned paper
2) Fairy Tale - #110 Something with a Heart
3) Cards in Envy - 2 or more Hearts

    Big Catch?

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday this week's optional twist is "People" - just add an image or any other element with a person or persons on your project and you've included the twist. Simple! I've used an image called "The Big One" from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for February.

I colored the image using Promarkers. I used several scrap pieces of DP mounted onto kraft - I have lots of DP "frames" as I often cut smaller pieces from the centre of the paper rather from a corner - a great way to reduce all those strips and it's a great way to get the most out of one sheet.
The sentiment is heat embossed with brown EP, the stamp came free with a magazine last year. I used craft foam for the clouds and I found a sheet of fishing themed stickers in my stash - it makes the man's catch look even smaller, hihi.

This card is also for these challenges:
    1) Addicted to Stamps - #97 Lots of Layer
    2) Cardz 4 Guyz - #56 Kick Back and Relax
    3) Clear It Out - Theme: Anything Goes Stash: Anything Goes (stash of stcikers and paper scraps)
    4) Cuttin and Stamping Challenge - Masculine
    5) Passion For Promarkers Challenge - #282 One for the Boys

        Little Bunny on Big Blanket

I made this card for the occasion of welcoming a little girl to the world. I do like rather simple baby cards and I thought this embossing folder and white paper would make a great background for my little bunny. I think it looks like a big baby blanket.
The bunny and sentiment are stamps from a Lawn Fawn set, I used smaller pieces of scrap pieces of pink DP.
I cut the sentiment in shape using a Spellbinders die. 3 different sized white pearls and voilà - not much more to say about this quick skinny card.

I'm sorry about the poor quality of the photo, I do struggle taking nice pictures of cards with a lot of white. But I hope you'll get the idea...

I would like to enter my card in these challenges:
          1) Come and Get It - Texture
          2) Inkspirational - Rose colours
          3) Creative Knockouts - #74 Animal Antics
          4) Crafty Creations - #281 Something old (embossing folder and die), something new (Lawn fawn stamps)
